Steps to Change Email Address On Paypal:-
In order to change the primary email, you can make use of PayPal on the web browser as well as the PayPal mobile app. Here, we will be discussing both one by one.
Using Web Browsers:-
If you are using PyaPal on web browser, follow the steps given below:
- First of all, open your browser and visit the official website of PayPal.
- Now, make sure you are logged in.
- Then, click on the “Settings” icon available at the top right corner of the screen. If you are using a mobile device, then click on the “hamburger” icon on the top left and then select the settings icon.
- Now, under the “Account” section, search for the “Email addresses” and click on the plus icon.
- Next, enter your email ID that you would like to have as your primary email on PayPal in the required column and then click on the “Add Email” button.
- After that, you will receive an email from the PayPal community. You need to confirm the email that you just added. To confirm the email, go to that email and click on, Confirm My Email Address.
- Now, on the next page, enter the password of your PayPal account in the required field and click on Confirm Email Address.
- Once the email has been confirmed, go back to the PayPal account and click on the “Edit” option in front of the email that you like to set as your primary email.
- At last, check on the checkbox to allow PayPal to send you the notifications on that email and click on Change Email Address.
Using Mobile App:-
If you prefer using PayPal from the mobile app rather than the web browser or desktop, follow the steps given below.
- First of all, open the PayPal account on your mobile device and login if you’re not already.
- Once you are logged in, tap on the “Settings” icon at the top of the screen.
- Then, select the “Personal information” option from various options available.
- Next, tap on the “Emails” option in the next step on the iOS app. In Android device, tap on “Email Addresses”.
- After that, you need to tap on “+ Add a new email” to add the email to your PayPal account that you would like to set as your primary email.
- Now, enter the email ID and tap on “Add” after that.
- After you have entered your email ID, a confirmation mail will be sent to that email.
- You need to open the email you received and tap on Confirm My Email Address.
- Now, enter the password of your PayPal account and tap on Confirm My Email to confirm.
- Then, tap on the email account that you just confirmed and select Make this your primary email option.
- At last, tap on Confirm.
