Those who are already following before you make your posts private will still see your posts. If you don’t want them to see your posts, then you can block them. In order to set your Instagram account private, follow the given instructions.
- First of all, open the Instagram app on your mobile device.
- Then, tap on the Profile icon at the bottom-right corner to go to your profile.
- Next, tap three horizontal line icon at the top.
- And then, click on the setting icon at the bottom.
- After that, in the Account section, click Privacy and security.
- Next, in privacy tap Account privacy.
- At last, toggle the button next to Private Account to the right. It will now turn blue.
Now your Instagram account is set to private and only people whom you will approve can see your photos and videos. Your existing followers will not be affected.
