- Next, you have to choose the QB company file you want to export from your QuickBooks. Right-click on the company file that you want to run. A list will appear in front of you, choose Open from that list. If asked, enter the user password. After the password is entered, choose any label, such as, Customers, Vendors or Employees present at the top of the QB window. After this, select the Customer Center.
- Now, the QBW file is to be imported into excel. In order to do this, choose the Excel option located on the top of QuickBooks software. After importing the QBW file, click on Export Excel. Then, you have to give the file name and choose the file destination to save the file. Make sure to click on the Export
- Then, the exported excel file in the previous step, get to be opened. If your Excel file version is old, you have to again select Excel file. After that, you have to import the file. Keep in mind that, to perform this activity, you require Excel 2010 or above.
- Next, after you have imported the file, you have to go for the tab Data. After selecting the tab Data, go to the Other Resources.
- Now, to open QBW files without QuickBooks, search for the QBW file which is generally displayed in the window.
